That is why we embrace the finetuning and calibration of our food selection and preparation as an integral part of any retreat.  We offer healthy and delicious micro-meals throughout the retreat for an optimal mental and physical state.

Balanced Eating

One of the most important areas we focus upon during you stay with us is nutrition, or as we like to call it – sustenance. Eating the correct balance of macro and micro nutrients is not just fundamental to your overall health and wellbeing, but it has a key impact on your performance at work, and your life in general.

Steady Release

Therefore, we don’t place an emphasis on eating at the traditional times of the day – breakfast, lunch and dinner – but in working with your body chemistry throughout our program to improve your overall wellbeing and gut health, along with ensuring that you maintain your energy levels throughout your time with us.

You will not just enjoy healthy and body-motivating foods, but will experience unique flavours and tastes, especially during our mindful eating sessions, and at the same time increase your knowledge of sustenance and how important overall nutrition is for you in consistently achieving high-performance.

Grateful gut, happy brain 

Serotonin is a naturally occurring substance that functions as a neurotransmitter to carry signals between nerve cells and is considered a natural mood stabiliser. It is also the natural chemical that helps with sleeping, reduces depression, makes you feel confident, and helps relay signals from one area of the brain to another.
But did you know that around 90% of receptor sites for serotonin are in your gut? Having an unhealthy microbiome in your gut can lead to health issues such as a weak immune system, whilst maintaining your gut health has been linked to improved mental health, which in turn can increase your overall attitude and motivation!

Amid all the superfoods and fad diets, one style of eating consistently comes out on top as the best: the Mediterranean diet. A 2016 review of 18 studies in Frontiers in Nutrition found that eating Mediterranean was associated with less cognitive decline, reduced risk of Alzheimer’s disease, and better memory and executive function. Additional research in the journal Neurology likened the diet’s effects to reducing the brain’s age by five years.

Balanced brain-food, prepared with care

Like everything else in your body, your brain cannot function effectively without having the right fuel to give it energy. Did you know that eating particular foods can give you better brainpower? This is especially true of foods that are high in Omega-3 fatty acids – so green veggies, especially fatty fish, red berries and nuts should always be included in your diet – and great news, these incredible foods are included for you in our program*!

A zero-toxin experience. Yes you can.

For the duration of the retreat we will create the right environment in mind, body, soul and surroundings for an innovation mindset to emerge. We will give our bodies and minds the very best chance at excellence and wellbeing. That means no alcohol, no smoking and no ‘junk food’ of any kind while the program runs. The only exception, for those who want, is some light indulgence on the last evening. You can do this. You will feel amazing.

Instead of following the standard breakfast-lunch-dinner pattern so ingrained in our society, our programs are built around the concept of ‘sustenance’: wholesome, healthy and delicious snacks, freshly prepared beverages and micro-meals distributed throughout the day for a steady release of energy and feel-good hormones.  Our nutritionists design a high-impact sustenance plan for the duration of the program featuring incredibly healthy, delicious locally sourced ingredients.
